LorAnn Oils – Rum Flavor Baking Emulsion – Better than an Extract! Water-based instead of alcohol-based so the flavor won’t bake-out! Water is a more neutral carrier than alcohol – it imparts no added flavor and does not evaporate as rapidly when exposed to heat. This allows the flavor to taste better, smell better and not “bake-out” as readily as a traditional alcohol-based extract. You will end up with a better flavor in anything you bake by using emulsions.

LorAnn’s rum baking & flavoring emulsion has all the flavor without all of the alcohol. Perfect for rum cakes & glazes or anywhere you want to add the rich flavor of rum. Our Rum Emulsion can be substituted in any recipe calling for rum extract.

Emulsions are ideal for baking and to flavor frosting, but are not appropriate for flavoring chocolate or hard candy due to their high water content; however, emulsions can be used to flavor candy centers.
